Ekaterina Bobrova and Dmitri Soloviev won gold at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi

Ekaterina Bobrova is a Russian ice dancer. With partner Dmitri Soloviev, she is the 2014 Olympic champion in the team competition, 2013 European champion, two-time European Championships silver medalist (2011, 2012), four-time champion of Russia, 2007 World Junior champion. They are also gold medalists at two Grand Prix events, the 2010 Cup of Russia and 2011 Cup of China. Ekaterina is Honored Master of Sports of Russia.
Ekaterina was born on March 28, 1990 in Moscow. Her mother was a member of the USSR national team in athletics, the father was engaged in skiing, and her sister in acrobatic rock and roll. At the age of 4 Ekaterina began skating.
Dmitri Soloviev was born on July 18, 1989 in Moscow. In 2006 he married figure skater Ekaterina Lobanova. Four years later they gave birth to a son.

Olga Kaniskina is a Russian race walker. She won the silver medal in the 20 km walk at the 2006 European Championships and gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She is a three time World Champion, having won at both the 2007 World Championships, 2009 World Championships and 2011 World Championships. She also won the 20 km walk at the 2008 IAAF World Race Walking Cup, setting a Championship record of 1:25:42.
Olga was born on born January 19, 1985 in the Soviet Union. Olga participated in numerous youth competitions of regional and nationwide level.
She graduated from the Mordovia State University, Mathematics Department.

Vera Dushevina is a Russian professional female tennis player, Honored Master of Sports of Russia, semifinalist of two Grand Slam mixed doubles (Wimbledon 2013 -2014); winner of three WTA tournaments (one – in singles); Federation Cup winner (2005) in the national team of Russia; former first racket of the world in the junior singles rankings; winner of the junior Grand Slam singles titles (Wimbledon 2002); finalist of the junior Grand Slam singles titles (Roland Garros-2003); semifinalist of the Junior Grand Slam singles titles (Roland Garros-2002); a single winner of Orange Bowl tournament (2002).
Vera was born on October 6, 1986 in Moscow.
Dushevina began playing tennis at the age of seven. Her first coach was her father Yevgeny.
Vera changed spelling of last name in 2005 for WTA purposes (Douchevina to Dushevina).
In 2005 she reached her first WTA singles final at Eastbourne where she finished runner up to former World No. 1 Kim Clijsters of Belgium. Two years later, she reached her second at the Nordea Nordic Light Open, losing in straight sets to Agnieszka Radwanska.

Marina Anisina is a talented figure skater, well known in Russia and France. With partner Gwendal Peizerat, she became the 2000 World Champion and 2002 Olympic Champion.
She was born on August 30, 1975 in Moscow into a family of known figure skater Irina Chernyaeva and hockey player Vyacheslav Anisin. Anisina began skating at the age of four.
Marina was paired with Ilya Averbukh at the beginning of her career. They won gold medals at the World Figure Skating Championships in 1990 and 1992 representing the Soviet Union. Their partnership ended in 1992 because Averbukh decided to skate with Irina Lobacheva with whom he had fallen in love. Then Anisina skated with Sergei Sakhnovski. But Sakhnovsky moved to Israel, where he became Galit Chait’s partner, and Anisina had to train alone for a while, because there wasn’t right partner in Russia. Her coach advised to search for a partner abroad and Marina found him in France. More »

She is a bronze medalist of Russia (2009), champion of Russia among juniors (2008), bronze medalist of the stage junior Grand Prix (2008), silver medalist of Russian Championship among juniors (2006). She lives and trains in Moscow.

Elena Vesnina is a Russian tennis player, Honored Master of Sports, the winner of two Grand Slam doubles titles (Roland Garros-2013, US Open-2014), two-time Fed Cup winner (2007-08), 7-time Grand Slam finalist (4 – in the women’s doubles and 3 – mixed doubles), the winner of 13 WTA tournaments (2 – in singles).
Elena was born on August 1, 1986 in Lvov, the USSR. Her mother Irina Vesnina was born in Sochi, she was engaged in athletics, but due to an injury she had to give up sports. Irina went to Kiev, where she met Sergey Vesnin, Elena’s father, who was engaged in the Greece-Roman wrestling. Elena has a younger brother – Dmitry, who also tried himself at professional tennis and now he works as a tennis coach. Now Elena lives in Sochi, Russia.
The girl started playing tennis at the age of seven, thanks to her mother.
