Natalia Podolskaya, Belarusian and Russian pop singer
Natalia Podolskaya is a Belarusian and Russian pop singer, participant of the TV project Star Factory – 5. By the way, Natalia represented Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with the song Nobody Hurt No One.
Pretty girl was born on May 20, 1982 in Mogilev, Belarus. You know, she has twin sister Yuliana, elder sister Tatyana, and younger brother Andrei. As a child, Natalia often imagined herself as a pop singer and sang famous songs. When the girl was 9 years old she joined the theater-studio Rainbow.
At the age of twelve Natalia was a soloist in the professional ensemble Double V. They toured Belarus, Germany and Eastern Europe. What is more, 17-year-old singer received her first award at the international contest Golden Hit. In addition to the prestigious award, the singer also received a cash prize.
Parents were sure that the daughter should have a useful and promising profession. So, the girl entered the Belarusian Institute of Jurisprudence in 1999.
However, the love for music was stronger. In 2002 she moved to Moscow and entered the vocal department of the Moscow Institute of Contemporary Art.
You know, Natalia became a participant of the international contest Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk in 2002. In the same year the singer went to Prague to take part in Universetalent Prague and received the award in two nominations at once. Later the singer signed a contract with the producer Igor Kaminsky.
In 2003, the girl was offered to represent Great Britain at the Eurovision 2004 contest. They even wrote the song Unstoppable special for her. However, the girl was forbidden to represent any other country, except Belarus, where she could not even pass the qualifying round.
In 2004, Natalia became a participant of the TV show Star Factory-5. There Podolskaya got acquainted with the famous producer Victor Drobysh, who appreciated the singer’s talent and helped to record the first album Late. To tell the truth, Natalia became the only performer who released the album as a part of the project. Although Podolskaya did not become the winner of the TV show, finishing third, Star Factory became the first serious step on her way to fame.
In 2005, the singer had the honor to represent Russia at the international contest Eurovision. In the qualifying round Podolskaya bypassed the eminent pop singers Dima Bilan and Anastasia Stotskaya. Victor Drobysh wrote the song Nobody Hurt No One. Nevertheless, Natalia did not manage to enter even the list of the top ten Eurovision finalists.
Moreover, Natalia tried her hand as a model.
In 2008, the singer received the citizenship of the Russian Federation and finally settled in Moscow.
She became the winner of the festival Song of the Year 2010.
In 2011, the girl participated in the project Star Factory: The Return.
On October 17, 2012 Natalia went to China, where she took part in Days of Russian Culture in China as a performer and a host of the event.
In 2014 Natalia participated in the TV project Exactly The Same on the First Channel where she took the third place.
Personal life
The first love of Natalia was her producer Igor Kaminsky. Igor was much older than the girl and helped her to become a professional singer. They lived together for five years.
In 2005, during the shooting of the TV show Big Race Podolskaya got acquainted with the singer and composer Vladimir Presnyakov Jr. At that time, the artist was married to Elena Lenskaya.
On June 5, 2010 Podolskaya and Presnyakov got married in Moscow’s Church. In June 2015, their son Artem was born.
