Dmitriy Dyuzhev, Russian actor

Dmitriy Dyuzhev is a Russian film and theater actor, film director.
The boy was born on July 9, 1978 in Astrakhan into the family of the local theater actor Peter Dyuzhev. In his childhood, Dmitriy, like many peers, wanted to become a policeman, a long-distance driver, or a sailor. The boy was fond of shipbuilding and even wanted to enter the naval school.
In 1999 Dmitriy graduated from the Russian University of Theatre Arts (GITIS) and joined the Moscow Theatre of the Young Spectator. There Dima played in popular productions including Mad Money, Twelfth Night and many others. The actor considers the role of the priest in the play Boris Godunov as the most successful work.
In 2000 Dmitriy made his debut in the film 24 Hours directed by Alexander Atanesyan. But the actor became famous after the role of Cosmos in the television series Brigade (2002) directed by Alexei Sidorov. Dyuzhev’s partners in the cult TV series were Sergei Bezrukov, Pavel Maikov and Vladimir Vdovichenkov.

The role of gangster Simon in the black comedy Blind Man’s Buff (2005) directed by Aleksei Balabanov, was also successful. Actually, Dyuzhev received a prize at the Sochi Kinotavr in 2005. The film Tobol based on the novel of Alexei Ivanov will be released in 2019 and Dmitry will appear in the role of Peter the Great.

On February 14, 2008 Dmitriy married Tatiana Zaitseva. Their son Ivan was born on August 8, 2008. And in January 2015 Tatiana gave birth to their son Dmitry.
