Anton Shagin, actor
Anton Shagin is a Russian theater and film actor. Actually, he became famous after the main role in the musical Hipsters. The actor has played in more than two dozen films.
Also, the actor received recognition of his talent at the state level: Shagin is a laureate of the Presidential Award of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Russian Federation.
The boy was born on April 2, 1984 in Kimry, Tver Oblast. He spent his childhood in Karachev, Bryansk Oblast. Anton had surname Gorshkov (Shagin is the surname of his stepfather). When the boy was 14 years old, his mother died.
Anton graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School in 2006, where he studied together with Ekaterina Vilkova, Maxim Matveev, Miroslava Karpovich.
In the same year Shagin was the winner of the Golden Leaf Theatre Award as the best actor for his role in the play Do Not Part With Your Beloved.
You know, Shagin played many roles in different plays: The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov, Peer Gynt by Ibsen, Red and Black by Stendhal, Valentine’s Day directed by Victor Ryzhakov and others.
In 2011, Anton became the owner of the prestigious Theater Award Crystal Turandot.
A year later, in 2012, the actor played on the stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater in the play Zero Liturgy.
In 2014, Shagin played in the TV series Demons, based on Fyodor Dostoevsky‘s famous novel.
In 2016, Anton played the main role in the sports drama Hammer. Also in 2016, the actor played the role of Vitaly Belov in the comedy Friday. The main role in the film was played by Danila Kozlovsky.
In 2017, the actor appeared on the screen in the drama Dovlatov, a joint project of companies SAGA (Russia), Apple Film (Poland), ART & POPCORN (Serbia). The biographical film shows the life of the famous writer Sergei Dovlatov a year before he left for Tallinn.
What is more, in 2017, the actor appeared in the drama The Road to Calvary, based on the story by Alexei Tolstoy.
The actor prefers to spend his free time with his wife and children. Anton loves to travel.
By the way, Shagin writes poetry. He has written about 100 poems. The author publishes them on the Internet.
Personal life
Shagin is married to actress Veronica Isaeva. They have son Matvey (born in 2008) and daughter Polina (born in 2014). After the marriage, Isaeva put an end to her acting career and completely devoted herself to her husband and children.
