Ekaterina Vilkova, film actress
Ekaterina Vilkova is a Russian film and theater actress, Candidate for Master of Sports in Rhythmic Gymnastics.
Katya was born on July 11, 1984 in Gorky, USSR (now Nizhny Novgorod, Russia). The father of the future actress worked as an electrician, and her mother worked as a watchwoman. The girl’s family, like all Soviet people of that period, suffered from a deficit, the girl had to wear clothes of her elder brother. Nevertheless, little Katya grew up as a cheerful girl, dreaming about beautiful life, discussing plans for the future with her friends.
In 2003 Ekaterina graduated from the Nizhny Novgorod Theatre School. Later, in 2006, she graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School.
She played in the Theater in the No Part from His Love directed by Alexander Volodin.
While studying at the university Vilkova debuted in the historical adventure series Satisfaction in 2005. She played together with the stars of Russian cinema Victor Sukhorukov, Marat Basharov and Alexander Domogarov. For 5 years after the graduation Ekaterina participated in 15 films.
In the 2010-2011 she participated in the TV show Ice and Fire on the First Channel of Russian TV.
By the way, in 2010, she starred in the video for the song You Know by Alexander Lominsky. Two years later, in 2012, Ekaterina played in the video for Dan Balan’s song Love.
The actress played the role of Shurochka in the television series Kuprin, where she played along with Mikhail Porechenkov.
By the way, the actress played in Fathers and Sons (2008), Book of Masters (2009), Palm Sunday (2010), Wedding Exchange (2011), The Dawns Here Are Quiet (2015) and many others.
It is interesting that Taisiya Vilkova, another prominent representative of Russian cinema, is called Ekaterina’s sister. However, they are not relatives.
Personal life
On May 1, 2011 Vilkova married Ilya Lyubimov. Their daughter Pavla was born on February 11, 2012 and their son Peter was born on April 6, 2014.
