Artem Tkachenko, Russian actor
Artem Tkachenko is a Russian theater and film actor.
The boy was born on April 30, 1982 in Kaliningrad. At school Artem studied together with twin sisters Tatiana and Olga Arntgolts.
After school, he entered the Shchepkin Higher Theatre School and graduated from it in 2002. In 2003 he joined the Shalom theater.
Tkachenko played his debut role in film Do Not Even Think 2 directed by Svetlana Ziborova in 2004.
You know, in 2005, Tkachenko got acquainted with the famous film director Alexander (Aleko) Tsabadze. So, the actor played in his successful mini-series Philip’s Bay, and then performed the main role in the film Russian Triangle. The film received good reviews from critics and viewers.
The Philip Jankowski’s film The Swordsman with Chulpan Khamatova brought Tkachenko long-awaited popularity.
Later the actor played in the lyric comedy Heavenly Relatives. Then he played the role of pop musician Alexei Korolevich in the youth film Zolushka in 2012.
In the same year the actor played the role of a courier named Skovoroda in the psychological thriller The Dragon Syndrome. Detective film is based on real events that happened in 1993.
In 2013, the actor played in the international project Friends from France, filmed by Germany, Israel, Canada, Russia and France. And in the same year Tkachenko played the role of a photographer and a blogger in the detective story Caesar.
In 2014, Artem played the role of Mark Terentyev, the illegitimate son of Oswald Rainer, in a mystical melodrama The Alchemist: Elixir of Faust about the life of secret societies and about the everyday life of alchemists among mystical potions and studies of unknown matters.
Also in 2014 he played the main role of Yuri Popov in the melodrama Long Way Home based on Svetlana Petrova’s novel Unconsciousness. The series shows the life of two generations of one family.
In 2015, the actor appeared in the melodramatic mini-series Aleshka’s Love. The main characters of the series are the musicians of the disbanded group Pilots, popular in the early 80s of the last century.
Also in 2015, the actor appeared in the main role in the ironic western Red. The film was shown at the Cannes festival and at the festival in San Francisco.
On September 25, 2015, the actor took part in the theatrical online readings of Anton Chekhov’s works Chekhov is Alive.
Since September 2017 he is the face of the television channel Sony Sci-Fi on the territory of the CIS.
In 2017 the actor played in ten films, including Lawyers, Gambler, Poor Girl.
His first wife was Russian actress Ravshana Kurkova. They were together from 2004 to 2008. Some believe that they divorced because of Ravshana’s love affair with famous secular photographer Dmitry Iskhakov, the current husband of Polina Gagarina. Others argue that they parted because of Artem’s relationship with Ekaterina Semenova, the star of the series Two Fates.
In 2012 Artem married model and actress Eugenia Khrapovitskaya. On January 23, 2013 Eugenia gave birth to their son.
At the moment, the spouses are divorced. The cause of the divorce was the love affair of Eugenia with the actor Igor Vernik.
Since 2015 he lived together with Ekaterina Steblina. Their son Stepan was born on November 7, 2016. The couple got married in 2017.
