Ani Lorak (her real name is Karolina Kuiek) was born on September 27, 1978 in Kitsman, Soviet Union.
Ani is a pop singer, songwriter, actress, entrepreneur, and a former UN Goodwill Ambassador.
Lorak took the second place in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, representing song “Shady Lady” (by Greek composer and producer Dimitris Kontopoulos) and won the Artistic Award for her performance.
She received Ukraine’s most prestigious and honorary title, the People’s Artist of Ukraine; was the winner of “Golden Gramophone”, “Singer of the Year”, “Golden street organ”, “Man of the Year”, “Song of the Year”, etc.
Ani is the owner of five “gold discs” (“There you are …”, “Dream about me” “Anі Lorak”, “Smile”, “Rozkazhy”) and two “platinum” (“Sun” and “15”).
Lorak has been ranked as one of the most beautiful women from Eastern Europe.

Karolina Kuiek dreamed of becoming a singer since her childhood. She performed at various school vocal competitions. In 1992 she won the popular contest “Pervotsvit”. It was here where she met her ex-producer Yuriy Falyosa.
Kuiek became known as Ani Lorak in March 1995 when she took part in the television program “Morning Star” in Moscow, Russia. There was a Russian singer with the same name so Kuiek had to invent a stage name. Ani Lorak is the name Karolina read backwards.
In autumn 1995 was recorded the album, “I want to fly”. The CD was released in early 1996 by the British company “Holy Musіk”.
She became even more popular after winning the “Big Apple Music 1996 Competition” in New York, U.S.. She was named “Discovery of the Year” at the popular Ukrainian festival “Tavria Games” in 1996.
In 1999 Lorak became the youngest Honored Artist of Ukraine.
In the same year, the singer was acquainted with the famous Russian composer Igor Krutoi, with whom Ani signed contract.
In 2002, the singer entered the top 100 sexiest women in the world, and in 2008, the magazine FHM included her in the top 100 sexiest women in the world.
In 2004-2005 Ani Lorak was a UN Good Will Ambassador in Ukraine for HIV/AIDS.
In 2005, Ani and her fiance Murat opened the Angel Lounge, a restaurant that specializes in Mediterranean cuisine in the center of Kiev. In 2009, they opened a Ukrainian travel agency called “Holiday Travel”.
In 2010, Lorak became an Oriflame advert.

Personal life
From 1996 to 2006, for 10 years, Ani was living with her producer Yuri Falyosa.
On 21 August 2009, Lorak married her longtime Turkish fiance and manager Murat (born on December 27, 1977), whom she met in 2003 when vacationing in Turkey. Her husband is a Turkish hotel manager and travel agent. Their daughter Sophia was born on June 9, 2011.
After discussion, Ani made a decision to baptize Sophia in Orthodox Church in spite of the fact that her husband, Murat is a Muslim. Filip Kirkorov became Sophia’s godfather.

Lorak starred in several films: “Take the overcoat” (1998), “Evenings on a Farm Near Dikanka” (2002), “Crazy Day or The Marriage of Figaro” (2003), “The New Year movie, or a night at the museum” (2007), “Little Red Riding Hood” (2008), “New Year’s matchmakers” (2010), “The New Adventures of Aladdin” (2011), “Little Red Riding Hood” (2012).
