Alexander Litvinenko, professional dancer
Alexander Litvinenko was born on May 28, 1972 in Donetsk, USSR, where he lived until 1988. Then he moved to Moscow.
You know, he never thought that his life would be connected with Ballroom Dancing and Choreography as he always thought that he would be an ornithologist or a biologist.
One day, at the age of 13, his schoolmate invited him to dancing school.
In 1988-1993 Litvinenko became the winner of numerous Amateur Latin and Ballroom Dance Competitions and Championships. And in 1993 Alexander moved to professionals.
To tell the truth, he danced with different partners, but had the most successful time with Elena Polyakova who became his wife in 1997.
Among his best results was the victory at the Russian Grand Prix 1999. Later, in 2001, Alexander became the bronze medalist of the Russian National Professional Latin Championships.
In 2005 Litvinenko was invited to participate in the TV show Dancing With The Stars.
He was a partner of Oxana Fedorova (Miss Universe 2002), Marina Kim (TV presenter), popular TV host and comedian Tatiana Lazareva, actresses Natalia Bochkareva and Elena Yakovleva.
Also he likes figure skating and has always admired Tatiana Navka, who became his partner at the 2008 Eurovision Dance Contest! They took the second place and were awarded the silver medal.
In 2009, Litvinenko decided that he wanted to create something special, his own, and opened a dance school in Moscow.
