Ekaterina Stolyarova, athlete from Russia
Ekaterina Stolyarova is an athlete from Russia, a world-class Master of Sports. She is a participant of the 2010, 2014 and 2016 Winter Olympics. In addition, she is a repeated world champion in freestyle mogul among juniors, master of sports of Russia, a member of the youth national team of Russia.
Pretty girl was born on April 25, 1988 in Moscow. She was born in sportsmen’s family. Her father, Andrey Stolyarov is a merited freestyle coach, and her mother – Marina Stolyarova – freestyle coach and internationally certified referee. Stolyarova began skiing at the age of 2.
You know, Ekaterina has been competing at All-Russia level since the season of 2003/04.
At All-Russia Championship in Kirovsk she reached a qualifying standard of Master of Sports. And winning of the First Students Winter Olympics let her participate in the first European Cup in her life.
In 2006 Ekaterina was awarded a title of Sportswoman of the Year. The athlete took part in World Freestyle Week 2006. In total, about 50 sportsmen from Russia, Finland, France, Kazakhstan, Sweden and Ukraine took part in the World Freestyle Week. Athletes competed in four disciplines: mogul, pair mogul, acrobatics and Ski-cross. The World Junior Championships in Russia was held for the first time. And cute girl took the first place.
In winter 2007-2008 Ekaterina was the first at the Freestyle Skiing World Cup in Canada. Then she was the second at the Freestyle Championship in Lake Placid, USA.
By the way, she was the member of the Russian Olympic team in freestyle at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.
In summer of 2010 she successfully graduated from the Tomsk State University. By that moment Ekaterina was already a holder of the golden badge of Merits for the University.
Actually, she is a participant of three world championships (2007, 2009, 2011). The best result is the fourth place in the mogul (2011, Deer Valley, USA).
After the Sochi Olympics, she decided to devote herself to the family, gave birth to a son.
In 2018 Stolyarova was a participant of the Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang (South Korea). She took the 11th place.
