Yulia Kovalchuk, singer and TV presenter
Yulia Kovalchuk is a Russian singer and TV presenter. She was the soloist of the Russian female pop group Blestyashchie from 2001 to 2007.
Beautiful girl was born on November 12, 1982 in Volzhsky, Volgograd region. Her mother was a teacher in a technical school, and her father was the chief designer at a design institute. In her childhood the girl was engaged in gymnastics and choreography. At the age of 12 Kovalchuk joined the dancing team Elite.
After school, she entered the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts.
In 2001, Yulia became a member of the pop group Blestyashchie, replacing Olga Orlova. Her debut in the group was the music video for the song Ay-ay, recorded in the same year. Together with the group Kovalchuk released 3 CDs and recorded about 40 songs. In late 2007, Yulia left the group.
On January 16, 2008 the singer began her solo career. Together with composer Konstantin Arseniev Yulia recorded their debut song, Push Me. The first duet of Yulia was the song with the group Tea for Two – Look Into My Eyes.
In autumn 2008, the singer took part in the reality show Survivor. Forgotten in Paradise. 7th Season (Last Hero).
By the way, in March 2009, Yulia took part in a new season of the musical show Two Stars. Tahir Mammedov was Yulia’s partner.
Roman Kostomarov and Yulia were the winners of the TV project Ice Age in 2009.

On July 1, 2014 Yulia and Alexei Chumakov presented their first joint video and received an award.
Her debut album JK 2015 was released on June 18, 2015.
Personal life
In 2014 Kovalchuk married singer Alexei Chumakov. On October 12, 2017 their daughter Amelia was born.
