Victoria Krutaya – Russian singer
Russian singer Victoria Krutaya was born on August 29, 1985 in Moscow. She is an adopted daughter of famous Russian songwriter and composer Igor Krutoy. When the girl was four years old, her parents divorced. Her mother Olga moved to the United States. Once Olga came to a concert of the Russian composer and fell in love with him. The family lived in Miami, but Igor spent much time in Moscow.
In America, Victoria graduated from the Stella Adler drama school (New York), as well as the University, where she studied Business Communications.
In 2008, the future singer got an internship at the popular American magazine Glamour. As she said she was only an assistant to the editor in chief. Her job was to send emails, make coffee and go shopping in search of clothing, which was supposed to look like brand, but was cheaper.
Victoria lived for only six months in the Russian capital, where she attended courses for TV presenters in Ostankino.
The girl has been keen on music since early childhood. She constantly came to Russia to take part in the TV contest Morning Star.
After graduating from the University Victoria made friends with DJ Serge Devante from America.
In 2004, she acted in Dima Bilan’s music video for the song I Love You and began her stage career both in Russia and abroad.
Her first Russian-language song Run Away became a hit in Russia.
Victoria’s debut music video for the song No Breaking Me Down was presented in 2011, in one of the most prestigious Moscow clubs. The video was made by Konstantin Cherepkov who collaborated with Russian stars, including Sergei Lazarev, Timati, Vlad Topalov, Sergei Zverev.
In the same year Victoria participated in the TV project Dancing with the Stars. At first she was paired with Artem Mikhalkov, a son of the famous Russian film director Nikita Mikhalkov. However, the man almost immediately refused to dance with her, because of girl’s weight. And the strongest man in Russia, Bruce Khlebnikov, became her partner.
At one of the concerts reporters noticed that Victoria’s hand was decorated with thin red thread. And it was found out that the singer studied Kabbalah (esoteric method and school of thought that originated in Judaism).
Personal life
Victoria married David Berkovich, owner of the restaurant. The singer met her future husband at the age of 15. David is a graduate of the Swiss Ecole hoteliere de Lausanne and he is fluent in six languages. They have little daughter Demi Rose.
