Olga Vilukhina is a Russian biathlete, Honored Master of Sports of Russia. You know, she is a bronze medalist of the 2012 World Championship, three-time champion of Russia and silver medalist at the 2014 Olympic Games.
Pretty girl was born on March 22, 1988 in Mezhgorye. Her father Gennady Vilukhin works as an engineer in the construction company, and the mother Olga Vilukhina is an operator in the boiler room. The girl has sister Zlata, who is a software engineer. Olga’s favorite book is Eleven Minutes by Paolo Coelho.
Since 1998, Vilukhina was engaged in cross-country skiing, and in June 2004 the coach advised her to become a biathlete.
World championship among juniors in 2006 in American Presque Isle became the first in Olga’s career. In the individual race, she took only the 28th place, while she took gold in the sprint, bronze in the pursuit race and silver in the relay along with teammates.

World Cup in Martello was not so successful for athlete. She won silver in the relay, but in the pursuit Olga took only the ninth place.
At the European Championship in Bansko Olga was able to achieve success only in the relay, she won the gold medal. In the individual race and sprint she was the seventh.
At the next two championships, she was succeeded only in relays: silver in Canmore and gold in Nove Mesto.

Championship in Ufa was the most successful for Olga. There she became a four-time European Champion – she won gold medals in all four disciplines: sprint, pursuit, individual and relay races. This is an absolute record for the European Championships since 1994.
After the victory Olga was invited to take part in the World Cup in Khanty-Mansiysk. On March 27, 2009 she made her debut in the sprint race. The girl showed the sixth time among all athletes and it was the best time among the Russian athletes.
After training in the mountains in Oberhof Olga fell ill and spent two weeks in the hospital.
Olga became the second in sprint in Hydra (Sweden) and Ridnau Val Ridanna (Italy).
In Hochfilzen in 2011 Vilukhina debuted as part of a mixed relay team and won. At the next stage in Oberhof on January 4, 2012 she won again.

On March 4, 2012 at the World Championships in Ruhpolding, Viluhina took the 3rd place in the pursuit.
A year later, on March 16, 2013 in Khanty-Mansiysk she was the second at the World Cup.
At the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi the girl won two silver medals.
In November 2016 Vice-champion of the 2014 Olympic Games decided to end her career.
On November 27, 2017 the athlete was banned for life from the Olympics because of the anti-doping rules violation.

Personal life
Her coach Valery Ivanov became Olga’s husband. He coached her for 15 years. Valery is 20 years older than his wife.
