Oxana Fedorova – Miss Universe 2002
Oxana Fedorova is a Russian TV presenter, winner of the Miss St. Petersburg (1999), Miss Russia (2001) and Miss Universe (2002), model, actress, singer former police officer and university lecturer. In fact, she became the first Miss Russia to win the Miss Universe contest.
Oksana Gennadievna Fedorova was born on December 17, 1977 in Pskov. The father was a nuclear physicist, and the mother worked as a nurse at a psychiatric hospital. Her parents divorced when she was three years old and the girl was brought up by her mother.
Pretty girl graduated from the Pskov secondary special police school with a gold medal in 1997 and worked as an investigator for several months. In the same year, she entered the St. Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. After graduation she worked as an investigator in Pulkovo airport. At the police academy, Fedorova played the saxophone as a member of the brass band.
Awesome girl became Miss Russia in 2001 and in 2002 she won Miss Universe, held in Puerto Rico. Four months later Fedorova was deprived of this title, which was given to Justine Pasek from Panama. Donald Trump (the owner of the company-organizer of the contest) explained that the winner was obliged to participate in advertising and charity events around the world, and Oksana practically did not leave Russia. To tell the truth, Fedorova had to finish her studies.
The publishing house Eksmo published the first book The Formula of Style by Fedorova in the fall of 2008. Moreover, in the same year Oksana became the face of the jewelry company Magic of Gold and took part in jewelry design.
What is more, Fedorova established the children’s charitable foundation Hurry To Create Wonders! in October 2009. The foundation provides support to orphans and children who find themselves in difficult situations. Special attention is given to children whose parents were killed while serving the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the Russian Armed Forces. In addition, Fedorova has been representing UNICEF in Russia since May 2006.
In August 2011 Oxana married 38-year-old Andrey Borodin, an officer for the Presidential Administration of Russia. On March 6, 2012, Fedorova gave birth to her son Fyodor and on July 22, 2013 her daughter Elizaveta was born.
