Mariya Berseneva (nee Shipova) is a Russian actress.
Beautiful girl was born on May 30, 1981 in Moscow. Her father, a retired police lieutenant colonel, is a coach, an international class referee. In addition, he has got a black belt in karate. Her mother was a skating coach and PE teacher at the Moscow Aviation Institute. Little Maria was engaged in gymnastics, swimming and skating. Also, she played the guitar, danced and sang in the choir. However, the most striking of her childhood hobbies, without any doubt, was the theater. In elementary school, she often participated in school performances and plays.
In 2002 Maria graduated from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS).
For several years she worked as a professional model in M-Globus and Point agencies, participated in the fashion shows and acted in commercials. This experience helped the actress to play model Anna Zaytseva in the TV series Mothers and Daughters.

At the beginning of her career, the actress was offered only small cameo roles. Everything changed in 2009, when she was chosen for the role of Margot Rebrova in the TV series Margosha. To tell the truth, she became one of the most popular television actresses in Russia.
On February 27, 2010 Maria received a TV Star award as Best Actress. In the same year she became TV Actress of the Year by Glamour Award Woman of the Year.
Major and Magic, directed by Vladimir Melnichenko, was released in 2017. Awesome actress played one of the main roles – swindler Elena Vorobyashkina, who became clairvoyant and began to help the police in the investigation of complicated and intricate detective stories.

Personal Life
On August 14, 2002 Maria married businessman Guram Kofenlu, who was 13 years older. Six months later she gave birth to their son named Nikita. Soon they divorced.
Kickboxer Nikolai Bersenyev was her second husband. They have known each other since school years. On December 21, 2007 the two got married. But the couple broke up on January 9, 2010.
Then, she had a love affair with actor Alexei Panin. But the couple broke up.
In 2014, Maria began a relationship with actor Konstantin Lavysh. He was born in Minsk. There he graduated from the Faculty of International Relations and played in the theater. Since 2003 Konstantin lives in Los Angeles and plays in Hollywood films.
