Konstantin Gayday – Russian designer

Konstantin Gayday is a known Novosibirsk designer and artist, famous for creating original hats.
According to designer, fashion is an endless fabulous story, which is told every season by designers throughout the world.
A person should be purposeful, have a positive attitude toward the world, charm, audacity and courage to conquer the world of fashion.
Konstantin was born in 1978, in Novosibirsk. When Kostya was eight years old, he made costumes inspired by bands Skid Row, Guns n Roses. At the age of 13 he made backpack with a huge marijuana leaf on it. In his twentieth Konstantin started making hats.
In 2001, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. While in Siberia Gayday made his first collection of hats and with a group of like-minded people created a magazine on fashion.

“I do not know how to sew, because I have architectural and art education. And many professional seamstresses don’t understand how my things are created”.
Gayday is interested in Yves Saint Laurent’s creativity as the world-famous designer came up with almost everything and he is a real star of the fashion world.
In 2002, Konstantin left Siberia and moved to the monastery in France. A year later, he returned to the capital of Russia, and became one of the best fashion illustrators of the country.

In 2004 Gayday presented his own collection of hats and collection of clothing was presented the following season.
Young designer dreamed of his own fashion brand. His brand KONSTANTIN GAYDAY is an avant-grade one, and enters the top ten most influential brands by Russian WOMEN’S WEAR DAILY.
In 2008, Konstantin presented his works at the exhibition Bread & Butter Barcelona.
So, in October 2008, Gayday was included in the list of 50 most influential people in Russian fashion.
In 2009 and 2010 Konstantin entered Top 10 most stylish men in Russia and was nominated for the annual award Person of the Year by GQ magazine.
You know, in March 2010, the brand KONSTANTIN GAYDAY presented capsule collection at TRANOI exhibition in Paris, which is held annually during the Paris Fashion Week.
His works are presented not only in Russia, but in Japan, Denmark, Switzerland, England, Italy, USA, and France.
Avrora and Konstantin were the presenters of the TV project Beauty Angels in 2015.
