Jasmin, Russian pop-singer
Jasmin is a popular Russian singer, actress, model and TV presenter. Her real name is Sara Manahimova.
Future singer was born on October 12, 1977 in the ancient city of Derbent in Dagestan. Her father worked as a choreographer and even was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Republic of Dagestan. Her mother was a famous conductor. Thus, the girl was surrounded by creative people since childhood.
Jasmin wanted to be a translator, her dream was to travel around the world. But in her native Dagestan there wasn’t any suitable college and the girl had to go to Moscow to continue her education. Parents were against and future celebrity entered medical school, where she began singing. Soon the young student became a real star in Dagestan.
One day she met prominent businessman Vyacheslav Semenduev, her future husband.
The singing was just a “nice hobby” for her.
Jasmine received an offer to work as a model with the Russian branch of Jean-Claude Jitrois fashion house. And soon she became a face of a prominent brand. But she quit modeling business.
Her husband offered to record several solo compositions. She agreed and her debut song became a hit.
In 2000, the singer released her first album Long Days.
Jasmin performed in Russia, Israel, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, USA, Spain, Latvia, Kazakhstan and some other countries.
In total, the singer released seven studio albums. She won the Song of the Year 2010 and Song of the Year 2011 awards.
In 2009 Jasmine was awarded the title Honored Artist of Dagestan.
The singer starred in the full-length film Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves as one of the main characters.
Also she works as a TV presenter.

On June 28, 2011 Jasmin won the Mom of the Year award.
Personal life
In 1996 the singer married Vyacheslav Semenduev, owner of the network of electronic equipment Eldorado. They were together for 10 years. In 1997 their son Mikhail was born.
The husband beat his wife and after divorce Jasmin wrote an autobiographical book Hostage, where she told about her marriage.
In September 2011 the singer married wealthy Moldovan businessman Ilan Shor, who is 10 years younger than Jasmin. In February 2012 she gave birth to her daughter Margarita.
On April 25, 2016 the singer gave birth to her son Miron.
