Ivan Nikolaev, Russian actor

Ivan Nikolaev is a talented and successful young Russian actor. You know, Ivan belongs to the actors, who infect the audience with their energy.
The boy was born on February 23, 1983. His childhood was devoted to sport: sports and ballroom dancing, acrobatics, athletics. Professional sports took a lot of time and energy, but in his free moments Nikolaev looked for homeless animals and took them home. He wanted to be a vet. But one day, to school where he studied, the casting team came. They were looking for new faces for the TV program 100%. So Ivan became one of the top five presenters of the program, which had huge ratings at that time. The project lasted three years and was closed after the producer Sergey Suponev’s death.
The boy entered at first the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography and then the Russian University of Theatre Arts.
In summer 2004 Ivan took part in the shooting of his first major full-length film 9th Company (9 Rota) directed by Fedor Bondarchuk.
At about the same time he played one of the main roles in the TV series The Club. So the next project was the film End Of The World, dedicated to the energy crisis in May 2005.

Also Ivan starred in the films Zolushka.ru, The Time of Happiness, The Mermaid, MIC, City of Temptations and others. In the film Luna Luna Ivan starred along with Elizaveta Boyarskaya, Olga Efremova and Konstantin Kryukov.
Among the most striking projects of the last few years, in which Ivan took part, one can mention the black comedy Vdrebezgi (Smithereens) directed by Roman Karimov. This is an art house project, filmed in the style of the film Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and consisted of 3 stories. In one of them Ivan, Ravshana Kurkova and Artem Tkachenko appeared. The film was released in 2011.
In 2016, Ivan played in the four-part melodrama Plastic Queen. And in 2017 the actor appeared in two TV series I Believe, I Love, I Hope and the criminal melodrama Echo Of The Sin.

Young Ivan adored The Fifth element by Luc Besson with Milla Jovovich in the main role. Since then he has not missed a single movie with Milla.
Once Nikolaev was invited to the Russian ceremony MTV Movie Awards where Milla Jovovich was the host. After the ceremony Milla invited Ivan to the after-party and they became friends. The actress made a very strong impression on Ivan with her light and positive attitude to life.
