Dima Nosov, Russian sportsman

Dmitriy Nosov is one of the most popular sportsmen in Russia. He is a famous Russian judoka, Honored Master of Sports in Judo, Master of Sports in Sambo. At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens he won a bronze medal in Judo. Now Dmitriy is a politician, deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. By the way, he is a founder of the martial arts school and the All-Russian public movement against drug abuse and alcoholism AntiDiler (2015).
The boy was born on April 9, 1980 in a military town Chita-46, USSR. In 1987 his family moved to Leningrad and three years later to Moscow. Then, in 1991, Dmitriy entered legendary school Sambo-70, where the future Olympic medalist studied until 1997.
In 1996 Dmitriy received a serious injury and was not involved in the competitions. But from 1997 to 2006 he had won prizes and Championships in Russia, Europe and the World.
In 2003, Nosov graduated from the Russian State Academy of Physical Culture and Sport. From 2004 to 2006 he was a Vice-President of the nonprofit partnership MP Blackbird – Russian Children are educated and healthy.

Kostya Tszyu is a famous Russian and Australian boxer, who has achieved impressive success. You know, he is a three-time the USSR champion (1989-1991), two-time European champion (1989, 1991) and World Champion (1991), the absolute World Champion among professionals, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR (1991).
Konstantin was born on September 19, 1969 in Serov, small provincial town, located in the Sverdlovsk region, Russia. His parents were ordinary Soviet people and were quite far from professional sports. The father of the talented boy worked as a metallurgist and mother devoted herself to medicine.
In 1979, Kostya was engaged in boxing. After six months of sports training the boy began to win. And in 1985, he became the champion of the RSFSR.
A year later, in 1986, Kostya entered the Sverdlovsk Engineering Pedagogical Institute, but left it in February 1987.
In 1989, Konstantin won the USSR boxing championship and became a winner of the European championship.
Later, in 1990 and 1991, the talented athlete won the championship of the Soviet Union twice and was the winner of several international competitions.

Klitschko brothers: Vitaliy and Vladimir


Klitschko brothers: Vitaliy and Vladimir are two exceptional athletes.
Their father Vladimir (1947–2011) was a Soviet Air Force major general and a military attaché of the Soviet Union in the East Germany. And their mother Nadezhda Ulyanovna worked as a primary school teacher. The family had to move to other countries, as well as the republics of the Soviet Union. In the early 80s the family lived in Czechoslovakia, and in 1984 the Klitschko family moved to live in the Ukrainian SSR.
Brothers are not only boxers, but avid chess players. Vitaliy is a friend of former world chess champion Vladimir Kramnik. The brothers often played with Kramnik, of course, he was the winner. Vitali has commented that “What’s the difference between chess and boxing? In chess, nobody is an expert, but everybody plays. In boxing everybody is an expert, but nobody fights.”
Vitaliy and Vladimir also have been involved in charitable activities dedicated to support the needs of schools, churches and children. They won humanitarian awards for their Fight For Peace and Sport for Good projects in 2002 and 2007. In 2002, the Klitschko brothers announced that they had agreed to work for UNESCO.

Yegor Titov, Russian footballer


Yegor Titov is a Russian footballer, midfielder, coach. Most of his career he played for Spartak Moscow. By the way, he played for the Russian national team and was its captain.
The boy was born on May 29, 1976 in Moscow. His father was the master of sport in speed skating and wanted his son to become a skater. But son’s passion for football was stronger. At the age of 8 the boy entered the Spartak football school. Since 1992 he played for Spartak Moscow and in 1995 he became a member of the first team.
According to Sport-Express he was the best footballer in 1998, 2000. He played for Russia at the 2002 World Cup and has amassed over 30 caps for his country.
In 2008, as a result of the conflict with the head coach, Titov had to leave Spartak. In 2009 Yegor and Andrei Tikhonov signed a contract with Locomotive Astana.
On March 19, 2010 the football player announced the end of his sports career.

Olesya Kovalenko is an International Master of Sports in Judo and Sambo, sumo wrestler. You know, she is a two-time champion of Europe in judo, honored master of sports of Russia, nine-time world champion, twenty-three-time European champion and fourteen-time champion of Russia in sumo. She is a great woman!
Awesome girl was born on January 17, 1975 in Ufa, USSR. Since her childhood the girl wanted to do sports because of her parents. Her mother was fond of skiing in her youth and even was a champion of Bashkiria in cross-country skiing. And her father was a weightlifter. To tell the truth, Olesya dreamed about figure skating! However, she was too heavy for this sport. She was engaged in basketball, later in judo. When the girl was 13 years old her family moved to Kursk.
Here are her results in judo. Olesya took the 1st place at the European Olympic Youth Festival in Belgium (Brussels) in 1991. A year later she was the first at the International Cadet Championship in Germany. Then she took the 1st place at the Russian Youth Championship and the European Junior Championships in Netherlands in 1993. And in 1997 she was the second at the International Championship in Belarus.

Pretty girl was born on February 9, 1980 in Leningrad, Soviet Union (now Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation). She has twin brother Mikhail. At the age of three Margarita was engaged in rhythmic gymnastics. Moreover, she was a member of the Russian Olympic team.
When the girl was 10 years old her parents divorced. The following year Margarita with her twin brother and mother emigrated to the United States. They settled in Brooklyn, New York, near Sheepshead Bay, home to many emigrants from the former USSR. To tell the truth, Levieva had to quit her professional sports career.
