Slava, Russian pop singer
Slava (her real name is Anastasia Slanevskaya) is a Russian singer and actress.
Anastasia was born on May 15, 1980 in Moscow. Her mother is an economist and her father is a professional driver. Nastya’s grandmother sang in Pyatnitsky Choir.
As a girl she became a fan of karaoke. In the spring of 2002 in a karaoke club, where she sang after work, she was heard by television director Sergei Kalvarsky. Sergei is known for his work with Alla Pugacheva and Philip Kirkorov. So, he invited the girl to work together.
Her debut album Fellow Traveler was released in autumn 2003.
Slava played a major role in the blockbuster Paragraph 78, based on the story by Ivan Okhlobystin. For the role in the film Anastasia had to cut off her long hair. Her partners were famous actors Gosha Kutsenko, Vladimir Vdovichenkov, Anatoly Bely and others. Also she performed the title soundtrack for the film In Heaven.
