Zhanna Friske – pop singer, TV host

Zhanna Friske or Jeanna Friske, Russian singer, TV presenter, film actress and socialite, was born on July 8, 1974 in Moscow, Russia.
Until 1996 her surname was Kopylova. She was engaged in artistic gymnastics and acrobatics, went to a ballet school.
Zhanna first became famous when she joined pop group Blestyashchie in 1996. Group members together with Jeanna have recorded 4 solo discs and realized 3 solo programs for their fans.
She left the group in 2003 to embark on a solo career as a singer, actress, and occasional model.
Internationally Friske is known for her roles in the films Night Watch and Day Watch as Alisa Donnikova, the witch and mistress of Zavulon, the principal character. Her most successful single was “I Was”, which reached the top of the Russian charts; her album was also successful and reached the top of all Russian-speaking countries.

In 2003 she took part in the reality show “The last hero-4” (Survivor) up to its final moment.
In 2005 Jeanna participated in the reality show “The last hero-5”. Afterwards, she took part in such projects as “The heart of Africa”, “The Empire”, “Circus with the Stars”.
In 2008 she skated with Vitaly Novikov and Maxim Marinin in the TV project “Ice Age 2”.
Jeanna played herself in the film “What about the men are speaking of” (2010), a performance of the popular play Conversations of the middle-aged men by the Kvartet-I.
Jeanna also played a lead role in the detective story “Who am I?”, which was premiered on November 11, 2010.
Friske was photographed for various glamor magazines such as Penthouse, Maxim, Elle, Top Beauty, InStyle, OK! and Allure.
Jeanne was the face of a large number of advertising campaigns, including Orient Watch, Rexona.
In 2011—2012 she was a TV host of the reality show “Vacation in Mexico” on the MTV channel. Then, former member of the reality “Dom-2”, Alena Vodonaeva replaced her.

Jeanna’s husband is TV presenter Dmitry Shepelev (born on January 25, 1983). On April 7, 2013 was born their son Platon.
Zhanna Friske refused chemotherapy to give birth to a son. The singer learned about her illness during pregnancy. She is suffering from brain cancer.
Zhanna died on June 15, 2015 in Balashikha. The singer was buried at St. Nicholas Archangel Cemetery.
