Yulia Kovalchuk, singer and TV presenter
Yulia Kovalchuk is a Russian singer, TV presenter, former soloist of the Russian female pop group Blestyashchie (2001-2007).
Yulia was born on November 12, 1982 in Volgograd. In her childhood the girl was engaged in gymnastics and choreography. At the age of 12 Kovalchuk joined the dancing team Elite.
After school, she entered the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts.
Her debut in the group was the music video for the song Ay-ay, recorded in late 2001. In late 2007, Julia left the group.
On January 16, 2008 Yulia began her solo career.
Together with composer Konstantin Arseniev Yulia recorded their debut song, Push Me. The first duet of Yulia was the song with the group Tea for Two – Look Into My Eyes.
In autumn 2008, the singer took part in the reality show Survivor. Forgotten in Paradise. 7th Season (Last Hero).
In March 2009, Yulia took part in a new season of the musical show Two Stars. Yulia’s partner was Tahir Mammedov.
In 2009, together with Roman Kostomarov she was the winner of the TV project Ice Age.
In 2010-11 Yulia was a co-host of the show Minute of Fame.
In 2014 Kovalchuk married singer Alexei Chumakov.
