Pelageya Khanova is a Russian singer, who has a remarkable voice that covers three and a half octaves. Actually, she is the founder and lead singer of the band Pelageya. You know, she recorded a song for the Depeche Mode tribute album. By the way, she sang the famous Mary Magdalene aria from Jesus Christ Superstar.
Pretty girl was born on July 14, 1986 in Novosibirsk. Svetlana Khanova, the girl’s mother, is a former jazz singer, who became a theater director after losing her voice and taught directing and acting in Novosibirsk. Currently she is the producer and director of her daughter’s group. The surname Khanova is the surname of the last husband of her mother.
When she was only three and a half years old she wrote short stories and typed them up on a typewriter. To tell the truth, the girl finished school earlier than other students.
At the age of 9 she became a winner of the TV show Morning Star as the Best Folk Songs Singer – 1996. When Pelageya was 10 years old she signed a contract with FeeLee Records and moved to Moscow.

In July 1999, Pelageya got an invitation by Mstislav Rostropovich and took part in a music festival in Switzerland, along with Leo Marcus, Evgeny Kissin, Paata Burchuladze, BB King. In an interview with the French press Galina Vishnevskaya then called the girl “the future of the world opera”.
Later, in 2004, she played a small role in the movie Yesenin.
Moreover, in 2009, the singer together with actress Daria Moroz participated in the third season of the TV show Two Stars. In the same year she won the hit parade Chart Dozen.

Dmitry Nagiyev and Pelageya were the hosts of the concert in honor of the fifth anniversary of the TV show Voice.

Personal life
In 2010 she married Dmitry Efimovich, the ex-director of Comedy Woman. They divorced in 2012.
After the end of the 2016 World Cup, Pelageya married hockey player Ivan Telegin. On January 21, 2017, the singer gave birth to her daughter Taisia.
