Oksana Akinshina, Russian actress
Oksana Akinshina is a Russian actress. She is best known for her roles in films Sisters, Lilya 4-ever, The Bourne Supremacy and Hipsters.
Oksana was born on April 19, 1987 in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) in the family of a mechanic and an accountant. She has a younger sister.
In her childhood, the girl worked for a modeling agency and took part in shows. Once the head of a modeling agency invited girls to take part in the casting for the upcoming feature film “Sisters”. So Oksana got her first role.
Oksana first appeared on the screen at the age of 13 in the film Sisters directed by Sergei Bodrov Jr. Oksana and Katya Gorina received the award for “The best acting duo” at the Film festival in Sochi in 2001.
Thanks to this role Oksana gained popularity and decided to become a professional film actress.
The young actress gained international fame after her role in the film Lilja 4-ever by Swedish director Lukas Moodysson. The director was fascinated by her work in “Sisters” and arrived in Moscow to meet with a talented actress. Oksana and Lukas Moodysson had to communicate via an interpreter, because the actress didn’t speak neither English nor Swedish. For this role she received an award in the category “Best Actress” at the 13th International Film Festival in Stockholm in 2002, Golden Beetle award by the Swedish Academy and Audience Award as Best Swedish Actress.
In 2003, Akinshina starred in the Dutch film “South” where she played a young girl, a single mother, who illegally came to the Netherlands. In the film, Oksana speaks Dutch.
In 2004, Akinshina appeared in a cameo role in the Hollywood film The Bourne Supremacy by Irina Nevskaya.
In the movie Wolfhound of the Grey Dogs, released on December 28, 2006, Oksana played one of the main roles.
In 2008, the actress played the lead female role in the musical Hipsters by Valeri Todorovski.
In 2011, Oksana played the main female role, Vysotsky’s girlfriend, in the film Vysotsky. Thank You For Being Alive and in 2012 she starred in the film 8 First Dates.
The actress confessed that she met her first man at the age of 12.
In 2001, 14-year-old girl met 20-year-old actor Alexei Chadov. Fragile, young Oksana and strong Alexei were a beautiful couple. In 2003 they starred in The Moths Games. During the filming Oksana met Sergei Shnurov. And the actress fell in love with a musician, who was 14 years older. They were together for five years.
Alexei was left alone, but later he married Agniya Ditkovskite, whom he met in 2006 while filming “Heat”.
In 2008, Akinshina met her future husband Dmitry Litvinov (born November 6, 1976). On June 2, 2009 she gave birth to son Philip. In 2010 their marriage ended in divorce. Oksana with the child went to St. Petersburg to her mother.
Oksana had a love affair with actor and singer Alexey Vorobyov. They broke up when Vorobyov did not take her to Dusseldorf, where he took part in Eurovision Song Contest 2011.
On January 15, 2013 the actress gave birth to a second son – Konstantin. The boy’s father is film producer Archil Gelovani.
