Marina Abrosimova, pop star
Marina Abrosimova is a successful Russian pop singer who performs under the stage name MakSim, music producer, Honored Artist of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic (2013).
Marina was born on June 10, 1983 in Kazan, Russia in the family of mechanic and kindergarten teacher. The girl was engaged in karate and attended music school. In her childhood Marina spent much time with her elder brother Maxim and was nicknamed Maxim, which later became her stage name.
At school, she began to participate in various music competitions such as the “Teen Star” and “Nefertiti Necklace”. The girl also composed her own songs, including “Stranger” and “Winter”, included in her second album “My Paradise”.
Marina graduated from the Kazan State Technical University.
The girl wanted to change her life and went to Moscow. It was reported at that time Maksim even performed in the Moscow subway.
On March 28, 2006 her debut album “Awkward Age” was released. For the first few months more than 200,000 copies of records were sold.
In 2007 she became the most commercially successful singer in Russia.

On November 22, 2007 the film Enchanted, where Marina voiced the main character Princess Giselle, was released.
In 2008, she recorded the soundtrack for the film “Running on Waves”.
In 2009, Marina recorded the song “The Road”, which became a soundtrack for the film “Book of Masters”.
In December 2009, the singer became “Singer of the Decade” according to RU.TV channel.
In 2011, the singer was included in the list of “Top 100 Most Influential Women of Russia”.
In April 2013, Maksim won Best Female Performance award at OE Video Music Awards 2012.
In a relatively short period of time MakSim has become one of the most popular singers in Russia and CIS countries. She was called the pop princess and the best-selling singer in Russia.
According to some reports, in October 2008 in Bali (Indonesia), the singer married her sound engineer Alexei Lugovtsov. On March 8, 2009 Marina gave birth to a daughter named Alexandra. On October 23, 2009 MakSim and Alexei Lugovtsov married in Moscow, but in December 2010 they divorced.
