Linda, Russian singer
Linda (her real name is Svetlana Geiman) is a Russian singer. Her style incorporates trip hop, electronic and ethnic music.
Linda was born on April 29, 1977 in Kentau, Kazakh SSR, USSR.
In 1993, Linda entered the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music. In the same year she performed on television, in the final of Generation in Jurmala (Latvia), where she was noticed by producer Yuri Ayzenshpis.
At first, the author of music for Linda was a composer Maxim Fadeev. Then she began to compose herself.
During her career, the singer has sold more than 3 million copies of albums in Russia, including Songs of Tibetan Lamas – 250 000, Crow (Vorona) – 1.5 million, Crow. Remake & Remix – 500 000, Linda – 100 000, Attack – 500 000, AleAda – 125 000, Skor-pion- 85 000.
The release of Linda’s seventh studio album AleAda was delayed when a demo of Lyobov v Konverte (Love in an Envelope) was submitted to the record company before the album’s release. Universal Music Russia thought it was so impressive that Linda and Stefanos Korkolis head back to recording and complete the song for inclusion on AleAda.
In 2012, the singer married musician Stefanos Korkolis. In 2015, they parted.
