Irina Volskaya was born on December 9 into a theatrical family. Her father, Vladimir Tartakovsky is the director of Moscow Operetta Theater and her grandfather Isidor Tartakovsky headed Vakhtangov Theater.
Irina graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), Faculty of Law and was awarded a Master of European Law.
She is a Chairman of the Committee on Culture.

Volskaya together with a top model Natalia Vodianova launched the first Russian Internet Project, which brings together fashion and charity. They said that on that site you can not only buy vintage fashion stuff (even Natasha’s clothes) but also put clothes on sale. A large proportion of the proceeds will be donated to charity, including the fund Naked Heart.
