Elena Ilinykh and Nikita Katsalov are Russian figure skaters, 2014 Olympic champions, 2013 European silver medalists, 2012 European bronze medalists, three-time Russian national silver medalists, 2010 World Junior Champions, 2009 JGP Final silver medalists, Honored Masters of Sports of Russia.
Elena was born on April 25, 1994 in Aktau, Kazakhstan. She began skating at the age of four. Elena always wanted to try her hand in ice dancing, which seemed to her something special and beautiful. In her group was a boy Nikita Katsalapov, whose mother wanted him to dance. So Lena and Nikita teamed up in 2005. But they often quarreled and as a result, their couple broke up. Ilinykh said they were too young at that time to understand the partnership and find a compromise.
In 2006, Elena went to the U.S. to train in Igor Shpilband and Marina Zueva’s group, where she has gained invaluable experience in skating. In America Lena didn’t find a partner. In 2008 she came to Moscow. After a while it was decided that Lena and Nikita should skate together. In 2008 Volkov and Zhulin became their coaches.

Victoria Sinitsina and Ruslan Zhiganshin

Victoria Sinitsina and Ruslan Zhiganshin are Russian ice dancers, champions at the 2012 World Junior Figure Skating Championships, 2012 Junior Grand Prix Final winners, 2013 Winter Universiade and 2014 Championship of Russia bronze medalists, 2011 JGP Final champions, Masters of Sports of Russia.
Victoria was born on April 29, 1995 in Moscow, Russia. The girl began skating at the age of four to improve her health. Her father, Alexander Sinitsin, and aunt, Tatiana Sinitsina, are former gymnasts.
Victoria took up ice dancing at age 10 and had one partner before meeting Zhiganshin in a group coached by Irina Lobacheva and Ilia Averbukh. Not long after, they joined Elena Kustarova and Svetlana Alexeeva.
In 2004 Victoria and Ruslan teamed up. In 2008 they became members of the Russian national team. At the 2008 Merano Cup they finished sixth.

Soviet and Russian ballet dancer, choreographer, People’s Artist of the USSR, was born on November 20, 1925. The world-famous prima ballerina had a very difficult childhood. In May 1938, her father was killed and her mother was deported to Kazakhstan. Small Maya was adopted by a maternal aunt, a soloist of the Bolshoi Theater. In many ways, it influenced her future career. In 1943, Plisetskaya graduated from the Moscow Choreographic School and almost immediately was admitted to the Bolshoi Theatre. Her talent and hard work helped her a lot and soon young Maya established herself as a prima ballerina. She is a great example for many dancers of the new generation.

Olga Glebova – Sudeikina was a symbolic figure of the Silver Age. She was an actress, dancer, painter, sculptor, translator and one of the first Russian fashion models. People called her Beauty of the Silver Age, Columbine, Decadence Fairy.
Olga was born on May 27, 1885 in St. Petersburg.
In 1905 the girl graduated from the Imperial Theatre School and joined the Alexandrinsky Theatre, where she became the favorite pupil of Konstantin Varlamov.
In 1906 Olga met the love of her life – the artist Sergei Sudeikin, and went to Moscow with him. In January 1907 they married. Olga was happy, but the idyll was broken. Poet Mikhail Kuzmin appeared in their family life. She participated in Kuzmin’s musical performances, costumes and decorations were made by Sergei Sudeikin. Mikhail became not just Sergei’s close friend, but his… lover. Olga was disappointed. The couple parted in late 1915.

Nina Ananiashvili is a ballerina and artistic director of the State Ballet of Georgia. Nina was awarded: People’s Artist of Georgia (1989), People’s Artist of Russia (17 March 1995), Order of Merit for the Fatherland, 4th class (22 March 2001), Russian Independent National Award Triumph – 1991 (the dancer was honored for the first time), Ballet Magazine Award Soul of the Dance (category Queen of the Dance), 2003.
She was born on March 28, 1963 in Tbilisi, Georgian SSR, Soviet Union. Nina was a sickly child and her parents urged her to take up skating to strengthen her health. By the time she was ten, she was a junior skating champion of Georgia.
In 1976 Ananiashvili entered the Moscow Choreographic Institute. In 1981, after graduation Nina entered the Bolshoi Ballet.
