Anna Pletneva, pop singer
Anna Pletneva is a Russian singer, soloist of the Russian pop-group Vintage, the former lead singer of the Russian pop group Lyceum (1997-2005 years).
Anna was born on August 21, 1977 in Moscow. The girl was madly in love with Russian singer Vladimir Presnyakov Jr., she was his fan and went to all his concerts. Once her brother got his autograph and the little girl slept with it under her pillow for five years until the piece of paper turned to dust. Every night she dreamed of singing with him on the same stage.
Much time has passed, Anna became a singer and one day, she and Vladimir flew together on tour. She came to him on the plane and told how much she loved him. Later the same evening they were singing together.
While studying at school the future singer danced in children’s ballet Ostankino.
Anna worked as a teacher at the Maimonides State Classical Academy.
In 1997, Pletneva replaced Lena Perova in the pop group Lyceum. After leaving the group 8 years later, she created a musical project Coffee with the Rain and became its singer and producer. However, a year later the project was canceled.
In 2006, Anna together with composer Alexei Romanov (former member of the group Amega) created pop group Vintage. On November 27, 2007 they released the first album titled Criminal Love. And in April 2008, the group presented a scandalous video for the song Bad Girl with Russian actress Elena Korikova as a main character.
Vintage is an owner of numerous awards. In 2012 it received Muz-TV award as a Best Pop Group; in 2013 they were awarded Best Music Video Award for their song Moscow; in 2011, 2012, 2013 Vintage was recognized as Group of the Year; in 2009, 2011, 2013 they were awarded Golden Gramophone Award; in 2008, 2009, 2010 received Song of the Year Award, and many others.
In 2009, Anna Pletneva entered the top five Sexiest Girls of the country according to Maxim magazine.
In December 2011, Billboard magazine included the song Eva in the list of the most striking and memorable Russian pop hits in the past 20 years.
In 2012, FHM magazine named the 100 Sexiest Women on the planet in 2012, Anna took the 7th place in the list.
In 2014, according to the same magazine, Anna entered the top 10 Most Sexy Girls again.
In the summer of 2003 Anna married her first husband and in the same year she gave birth to their daughter Varvara. According Pletneva, her ex-husband “was a child and was completely unprepared to have his own children”. Immediately after the birth of their daughter he left the family.
Kirill Syrov, businessman, co-owner of Valenta (one of the manufacturers of medicines in Russia), became her second husband. In this marriage, Anna gave birth to a daughter and a son (born in September2009).
