Anastasiya Melnikova, Russian actress
Anastasiya Melnikova is a Russian actress and TV presenter, Honored Artist of Russia (2006), Member of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg.
She was born on September 19, 1969 in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) in the family of doctors. In her childhood the girl wanted to be a ballerina, but her dream didn’t come true.
In 1990 after graduation from the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinema the future actress went to America, where she performed in musicals on Broadway. She returned to Russia in 1993.
In 1996 Melnikova realized her childhood dream and played a role of ballerina in the film Giselle’s Mania.
In 1997 Anastasiya was invited to play the role of the investigator Abdulova in TV series The Streets of Broken Lamps. The series was loved by many viewers, and Anastasiya became known throughout the country.
In 2006 the actress participated in the television project Dancing With The Stars.
From 1990 to 1998 Anastasiya was married to film producer Vyacheslav Telnov. On July 24, 2002 the actress gave birth to her daughter Maria.
At the moment Melnikova is not married.
